Purpose of Project Global Game Jam. Create a wave themed game within a weekend.

For the Global Game Jam we had to create a wave themed game within 48 hours. After getting the theme we had to design and build the application on a game jam site. We worked with a team of six people. The initial design was made by the entire team and the details were made by the designers. With the core gameplay designed the programmers started building the game. During development we were tweaking and testing the entire time. At the end of the weekend we had a working local multiplayer game about waves, water, paper and sound. The players control the path of their origami birds from start to end. This is done with buoys that can be dropped that emit audio waves.

My role :
During the project I functioned as a programmer. Being responsible for gameplay and UI. The core gameplay was created in cooperation with another programmer. The UI was build solely by me. During the weekend all programmers helped with bug fixes and testing.
